Visit to the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu At the indicated time, transfer to the train station to start the excursion to the Sacred City of Machu Picchu, recognized as one of the wonders of the world and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The train takes us to the town of Aguas Calientes, from where you will ascend by bus to the Archaeological Centre and start the guided tour that lasts approximately 2 hours. During the visit you can see temples, squares, terraces, houses, barns, as well as the great biodiversity that exists in the surroundings. It is worth noting that the beauty of Machu Picchu is exalted by the extraordinary scenery where it is located. Around the citadel has been formed a National Reserve that has an area of 32,500 hectares, and that includes a constellation of archaeological monuments, which, in our opinion, were built as part of the Machu Picchu complex and not in isolation. At the indicated time we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you have lunch included. Free afternoon.
Free day to walk on your own through this small town.
Optional Program - Second visit to Machu Picchu (entrance fees included): $179 per person

Both the tickets for Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu are limited, so we recommend that you reserve tickets for later days when requesting the program reservation and thus avoid congestion or unavailability. Aguas Calientes serves as a base to Machu Picchu, having as its main attraction its beautiful natural landscape. At the indicated time, you will board the train back to the city of Cusco. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.
Early departure to the City of Puno at 3400 metres above sea level by touristic bus. The first stop will be in the beautiful Town of Andahuaylillas. Here you will visit the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, better known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, due to its decorated polychrome ceiling. Minutes after leaving behind Andahuaylillas you will pass by the lovely Wacarpay Lake, offering spectacular views of the mountains reflected in its calm waters. Right before lunch, stop in Raqchi, where you will be able to see a spectacular Inca Sanctuary built by the Inca Pachacutec and dedicated to the great Inca God of Wiracocha; it has a great central wall with a stone base of fine Inca architecture, other walls made of giant adobe bricks and the structure also has two circular lateral columns; around the Temple are several buildings once used for housing and storage. Buffet lunch will be served in Sicuani at a quiet countryside restaurant, where you will enjoy the delightful culinary art of the region. Continue passing through Abra La Raya where you will be able to see herds of vicuñas and llamas. The landscape changes considerably along the High Plateau of the Collao, stopping at the Town of Ayaviri, an important livestock and textile centre, to visit the impressive Temple of Kalasasaya, remnants of the ancient Pucara Culture. Continue the journey to Puno, arriving in the afternoon; upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
At the indicated time, we will transfer you to the pier of Lake Titicaca to start our excursion to the floating islands of the Uros; artificial islands, handcrafted by its inhabitants based on the Totora, plant that grows in the same lake. The Uros live basically from fishing, hunting and gathering, as well as selling handicrafts and multi-coloured fabrics.
